WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN
OR
THINK YOU CAN’T
YOU’RE RIGHT
Henry Ford
Isn’t this the truth? It seems so simple……but what we choose to believe about ourselves or the circumstances we find ourselves in…….really boils down to our thinking. What goes on between our ears is vital to our contentment or dissatisfaction. We choose. I needed to be reminded of this…..how about you?

What I so needed for today, to start off a new week. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
You are such an inspiration. And I am still curious how you raised/ are raising 6 boys with such a quiet voice?

So true! Mental strength is everything. We watched a movie/documentary in my Philosophy class the other day called “What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?” Yea crazy title. But anyways, it showed magnified droplets of water after a buddhist preist had blessed it compared to normal droplets of water. The difference between the two were drastic. They also showed one where the water had been filled with hate, and the water looked scary. Anyways, they made the connection of how humans are 98% water. And if thoughts can do that to water, imagine what our thoughts can do to us. It was a really great documentary actually starring Marlee Matlin.
P.S. Hi Daley’s mom! I’m finally deciding to join the blog world! yeay!

Hi!
I found your blog from your comment on Daley’s.
As a “wish-I-could-make-a-living-at-it photographer”, I’m inspired by his work.
Anyways, I thought you might like to know that this is actually well-accepted in the world of psychology, and even has a name: projection.
I kind of came to this conclusion myself over a season of my life, and was telling my (then) pastor about it. The pastor also happened to be a crisis counselor, and he basically told me, “yeah. That’s what we call ‘projection’. Your anticipation of how a particular person or situation will be will influence your perception and make you much more likely to believe that your hunch was correct.”
I have found that this is huge in interpreting the world. If I go out expecting to find broken, hurting people who need Jesus, I do. And I go out expecting to find angry, mean, scary people, I do!
